Five new Yamal fields

Five fields with hydrocarbons have been added to the list of discovered resources on Yamal Peninsula in the Russian Arctic.

RusBusinessNewsreports with reference to the regional Government that 33 companies have been involved in the exploration of 82 licensing plots.

The five newly discovered fields are Severo-Yubileynoye oil and gas condensate field, Zapadno-Yubileynoye, Severo-Yamsoveyskoe, Yuzhno-Padinskoye and Zapadno-Tazovskoye oil fields.

In total, there are now 220 hydrocarbon fields in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomus Okrug.
