The areas covered by the National Park are important both for Norwegian and Swedish reindeer herders. Also, Rohkunborri has special values associated with virgin mountain forest, alpine wetlands and valuable freshwater environment.
Rohkunborri is Norway’s 34st National Park on the main land.
