Dmitriyenko’s visit to Norway postponed

Dmitry Dmitriyenko (BarentsObserver.com)

Murmansk Oblast Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko will not be coming to Kirkenes today for his planned meeting to discuss joint nuclear safety projects. The reason for this for this is a snowstorm that has forced the airport and most roads to close.

Location

Governor Dmitriyenko had planned to meet acting governor of Finnmark Tor Stafsnes to sign this year’s cooperation agreement regarding nuclear safety projects on the Kola Peninsula, as BarentsObserver yesterday reported.

Mr. Stafsnes today told BarentsObserver that the meeting has been postponed. A new date for the meeting has not yet been set.

Because of a heavy snow storm that has been ravaging Murmansk for the last three days, the airport and all roads in the region have more or less closed, Rosbalt.ru writes.
