Tarja Halonen will arrive in Moscow on November 8th and stay until the 11th, according to Itar-Tass.
Medvedev and Halonen will discuss bilateral cooperation in the Arctic, reports The Voice of Russia. Finland has recently presented its Arctic Strategy, and the Foreign Ministry of Finland says Russia is a key partner in the north. Finland is planning to increase its presence in Russia’s northern regions, and will soon establish a Consulate General in MurmanskOther issues to be discussed between Halonen and Medvedev include trade and economic cooperation.
