The French frigate arrived in the Northen Fleet’s main base on Monday for a five-day official visit. The joint exercises will start on June 15 and focus mostly on anti-piracy drills, Pervy Kanal reports.
The Northern Fleet will participate in the exercises with the large landing ship “Aleksandr Otrakovsky”.
Russia and France also held joint exercises in 2010. Back then the Russian nuclear-powered missile cruiser “Petr Veliky” visited the port of Brest.
