Arne Egil Tønset

Arne Egil Tønset, born 1959 in Røros, Norway, is a freelance journalist and author living in Tromsø. He has been working for newspapers, radio and TV, mostly in Northern Norway and Russia since 1979. He has spent 25 years of his career in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, NRK, and was the company’s correspondent in Moscow from 2003-07.

In 2010 he published the book “Russia in Colour”, a round-the-corner look at modern Russia through his own eyes. Tønset has been actively involved in the network of journalists, Barents Press, and other international journalist projects for many years.
