Location

The temperature has increased most in the northern parts of Norway. While the temperature on the mainland increased by 1.0-1.5 degrees above the normal, which is the average temperature between 1960 and 1990, on the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard it rose with three degrees, TV2 reports.

Only in November it has been more than 8 °C warmer than normal on Svalbard, BarentsObserver reported.

According to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (NMI), this picture fits the global trend. The institute believes the increase is related to human activity.
