“President Medvedev has an excellent representative in Minister Lavrov. We very much appreciate his strong work in trying to move the relationship forward, and I am hopeful that the meetings that we’ve had so far and the meetings that we expect to have throughout the course of this year will be of mutual benefit to both countries”, President Obama underlined to the press. The meeting between Obama and Lavrov comes a meeting between Obama and Medvedev due this summer is under planning.
