A helicopter from the Norwegian coast guard film recorded the vessel while dumping fish at sea. Thereafter Melkart was arrested by the coast guard vessel KV Senja.
Dumping of fish is a serious environmental crime, says the Norwegian coast guard in a press-release.
The arrest Russian trawler will now be taken to Longyearbyen at Svalbard, reports NRK.
