Karelian Governor at bottom of rating list

Public opinion survey before next month’s Duma election is not good reading for Karelia’s Governor Andrey Nelidov.

Location

The survey made by Public Opinion Foundation in all Russian regions says Andrey Nelidov is Russia’s most unpopular Governor. Only 11 percent of the interviewed approve the work of Nelidov’s government in Karelia. The survey was initiated by Gazeta.

Arkhangelsk Governor Ilya Mikhalchuk is also far down on the rating list. 16 percent of the interviewed supported the work of Mikhalchuk.

Kemerovo Governor tops the list with a rating of 78 percent. The Duma election takes place on December 4.
