The money will enable the region to fulfill all of the projects included in road development program for the period 2007-2010, a press release from the regional administration reads. The Lotta road is one of the region’s main connections to Finland.
In addition to the Lotta road, Murmansk is currently also upgrading the road connection to the Norwegian border. When completed, the road standard on the Russian side of the border will be better than on the Norwegian.
